Product Switching

For rates, term, fee or LTV

We're pleased to say it is possible to switch products on a mortgage application at any point before funds are requested, subject to underwriting assessment. Unfortunately, after we receive the certificate of title (COT), we are unable to make the change.

Need to switch the product before completion?

Trustworthy

Pre-offer

Pre-offer, you can change the product on an application, subject to underwriting.

Prior to the formal offer being issued, we don’t charge a fee for switching products.

Just email us the account name (or Limited Co name) and the application reference number and confirm the changes you would like to make, to productswitch@birminghambank.com

Post-offer

If your clients' application is post-offer but pre-completion, you can now switch to a different product.

The request is subject to underwriting assessment and a £175 fee, which is non-refundable. 

Please email us the application name or Limited Co name as per the offer - and the case reference number and confirm the product to which you would like to switch, to productswitch@birminghambank.com 

Unfortunately, if the Certificate of Title has been received, then the Bank will not be able to process a product switch.

There is no charge if the case is pre-offer.

However, if the case is post-offer, there is a non-refundable £175 fee for us to process a product change to re-offer.

  • Account Number: 12757962
  • Account Name: BBL BTL – Fees
  • Case reference number (on the offer)
